Privacy

This policy sets out how Grase Counselling uses and protects the information you provide when using our services. We intend to ensure any data you provide is kept secure, managed respectfully and only used for the purposes for which it has been provided. This policy will be updated periodically in line with current legislation, such as The Data Protection Act 2018 which is the UK’s implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

All information is used to contact you. When you contact us via our website, phone or email the following will be collected:

  • Name

  • Email

  • Telephone Number

  • Any information you choose to supply regarding the purpose of your enquiry

Confidentiality

Confidentiality is an important aspect of counselling. This means that under normal circumstances no one outside Grase Counselling is given any information without your expressed written consent.

Please be aware that there are certain circumstances in which therapists are required to breach confidentiality without a client's permission. Therapists are mandated to report certain information in which there is the possibility of harm to a client or to another person. This will be explained to you in your during your consultation.

Cancellation

You can cancel your appointment up to 48 hours in advance for a full refund by contacting us. Cancellation made less than 48 hours will result in full fee.

Professionalism

As a senior member of the counsellors, coaches, psychotherapists and hypnotherapists (ACCPH), there is an Ethical Code of Conduct we must adhere to which is designed to put you, the client first and hold's us accountable in regards to how we conduct ourselves during our sessions. We also under take Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training. This ensure that we increase our capacity to practise safely, effectively and legally within our field. It ensures that we keep stay up-to-date with new ideas and techniques within our field.

Grase Counselling does not discriminate against someone or something. to single out a type of person or thing for special negative treatment or denial of equal treatment; to act in a prejudicial manner against someone or something.

We have appropriate supervision in place, which promotes developmental growth, enhancing our knowledge and applied skills. Protecting the welfare of clients to ensure that clients are receiving high quality professional services.
